Church Community in Christian growth by supporting
and helping provide opportunities for Church
participants to learn about
God's Word, Wisdom and Jesus Christ.

Dollars for Scholars
A matching fund scholarship program sponsored by Scholarship
America
to assist high school and college students in obtaining their
post secondary educational goals.
Leon
and Rubye Jones
A scholarship established in honor of the Beloved Pastor of the
MLK Church for 21 years, Rev. Dr. Leon C. Jones and his wife
Sister Rubye Jones, for high school seniors achieving and maintaining
Academic Excellence throughout high school
(3.20 Cumulative GPA or higher).

The following scholarships are available to non-members:
Makeia
Murphy
A single parent scholarship established in honor and memory of
Makeia Murphy to encourage students (males or females) to
continue pursuing their educational and career goals after high school.

Walter Smith
A high school scholarship created in loving memory or the
first Deacon
of the MLK Church, Deacon Walter Smith, a man who loved to
help students stay in school and strive to reach their personal
and educational best.

to the Christian Education Board
by May 15th of each year for consideration of acceptance.
